Business Analysts

The analysis of the business requirements in a project, along with a proper documentation of the project, are the major responsibilities of a business analyst. A business analyst must see to it, that the documentation for the project is done very well, so that the business users must understand what the developer has done in the total development of the product. Therefore, the business analyst is a channel of communication between the business users and developers. Business analysts are also called as functional analysts or business system analysts or system architects.

For providing a better understanding between the business user and the developer, the business analyst is required to draw the necessary diagrams like use case diagram, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and collaboration diagram. There are many other documents like business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, technical specification documents, etc,. There are many domains in which a business analyst is required, for example, controlling, finance, pharmaceuticals, fixed income products, health care and banking.
